Simon Astridge approached SLM for the extension and complete remodel of a terraced house, with subterranean basement level within a West London Conservation area. The use of brass as a signature tone was new for SLM but it tied each room together perfectly adding a warmth to the home. Existing Victorian features were sought to be retained at the original floors while the excavation of the new large basement allowed for a more contemporary family zone.  The new open plan master suite occupies the top level of the house with the space being carefully designed to maximise natural light with the insertion of a series of roof lights.  The use of intricate and detailed tiling added to the homes uniqueness and charm.
