Fraher architects approached SLM to work on a project for a period South London terraced house. The clients wanted to open up the ground floor living spaces, whilst reconnecting the core of the house to the sunny south facing garden. In order to achieve this SLM installed a slot rooflight that wraps down towards the end elevation, and 3m high oak framed and glazed doors. By bringing the outdoors in and using a high polished floor which reflects the light wonderfully it resulted in a bright, open and airy space.
